Lepe Country Park Renovations Complete

Admin Uncategorized

Lepe Country Park recently held the official opening of its brand new look, following a £2.9 million facelift, which has revolutionised the facilities at the park.

The three-year programme of improvements has included building an iconic new restaurant on stilts elevated above the beach, The Lookout, with a fully accessible boardwalk, installation of a Changing Places toilet facility, improving paths, revamping the cliff top play equipment and developing an exciting new Sensory Cottage Garden which is wheelchair and pushchair friendly, with bubble lights, fragrant herbs, flowers and water features. Other updates include a wild play area, complete with magnifying glasses, bird hides and bug hotels, while watersports enthusiasts will find new rigging areas and outdoor showers.

The paths to the beach are wheelchair accessible and there is also a Landeez all terrain wheelchair is available for use. This allows easier access across uneven ground including the pebble beach, pebble tracks, grassy areas and sand. This can also be used to get into the water. Contact the team to book.

Due to recent parking arrangement changes across all of Hampshire Country Parks, Blue badge holders will now have to pay standard charges but can buy a discounted annual parking pass for £20 (normal charge £45) Speak to a member of staff or call 023 8089 9108

Open every day, 7.30am to 8pm or dusk, whichever is earliest.
